Our clients, residents of Kenton-on-sea, are all about upliftment. As a consortium they purchased a property with the intention of turning it into a guest house with a twist. We blended the site conditions, clients brief and our ideas to come up with an eight bedroomed guest house with communal kitchen and laundry facilities. Each room is en-suite and had purpose made furniture to accommodate couples as well as single travellers. All rooms take advantage of the great sea views to the South but also receive warm light from the North by means of a split roof structure. The building was placed, and the site was combed in a manner that allowed ample parking for all the guests. Sky blue guest house makes use of a unique water recycling system. This system takes all grey and black water and recycles this back into the property. The wc’s use the recycled water, and the rest is used to irrigate the lawns and gardens.
